The SOFI virtual nurse is actually a care management software beloved by the medical community. Le Havre Saint-Maurice is located in the beautiful town of Saint-Maurice. This family-run assisted living facility (ALF) accommodates up to 18 semi-autonomous residents. The vision of its owners? To make a positive difference in the daily lives of their residents by offering them a welcoming environment where empathy and respect prevail.

At the Heart of the Problem: Outdated Work Methods Compromising Quality of Care
In a reality where care provided to residents must evolve at the pace of their health status, managing routines on paper was becoming increasingly complex for personal support workers (PSWs). For owners, nurses, and physicians, follow-ups were equally challenging. Scattered information, illegible notes… the margin for error was significant. We were looking to centralize information, to ensure continuity between shifts… then the idea of a virtual nurse emerged as the solution to many administrative problems.
An Immediate Connection
While it was word of mouth that led Ms. Cholette to take an interest in the software, it was a demonstration at a Regroupement québécois des résidences pour aînés (RQRA) conference that convinced her that SOFI would be the perfect partner to assist her daily in her follow-ups and enhance the quality of care provided to residents.
More Efficient Management and the End of Paperwork
Now that SOFI is part of the team, there’s no need to repeat information. Management can ensure at any time that tasks are properly completed, and PSWs can easily find all necessary information in work routines. SOFI also ensures rigorous medication distribution, for greater resident safety and in compliance with Accreditation Canada standards.
