In this context, finding, gathering, and synthesizing relevant information for each resident became an increasingly arduous task for managers and nursing staff. With this management system, the Home was at risk of making medication errors, a situation that could affect both the quality of care provided and the residence&#8217;s reputation.<br \/>\nThe need was clear: reduce daily paper production by digitizing health records and implement a system that would improve the monitoring of actions taken by orderlies regarding restraints.  <\/p>\n<h2 data-fontsize=\"20\" data-lineheight=\"30px\">SOFI, the software for the situation<\/h2>\n<p>After taking inventory of their needs, the managers of La Maison des a\u00een\u00e9s de Saint-Timoth\u00e9e explored the various care management software options available on the market. One conclusion was clear: only SOFI met all the criteria. The choice was easy.  <\/p>\n<h2 data-fontsize=\"20\" data-lineheight=\"30px\">SOFI, a valuable partner for La Maison des a\u00een\u00e9s de Saint-Timoth\u00e9e<\/h2>\n<p>Now that SOFI has joined the team, the pain points have disappeared. SOFI has allowed for the complete elimination of paper, in addition to promoting better control of resident medication, thanks in part to centralized pharmaceutical profiles. The software facilitates close monitoring of restraint measures performed by orderlies, and information is available throughout the facility.<br \/>\nWith SOFI, producing the necessary documents for an emergency transfer to a hospital is simple and hassle-free, and in the event of a fire or any other disaster, it becomes operational again very quickly. Finally, the care management software promotes better collaboration with fire services, a quality particularly appreciated by the Assistant General Manager:   <\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;The fire report is an integral part of new employee training, and SOFI makes our task much easier and greatly improves collaboration with fire services. This is very reassuring for families.&#8221;<\/em><br \/>\n\u2014 Mario Ladouceur, Assistant General Manager at La Maison des a\u00een\u00e9s de Saint-Timoth\u00e9e<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2 data-fontsize=\"20\" data-lineheight=\"30px\">La Maison des a\u00een\u00e9s de Saint-Timoth\u00e9e, an Accreditation Canada award-winning facility with honorable mention<\/h2>\n<p>With a capacity of 66 residents, La Maison des a\u00een\u00e9s de Saint-Timoth\u00e9e opens its doors to seniors and adults with loss of autonomy, whether or not they have cognitive issues. Its team includes eight registered nurses, about twenty licensed practical nurses, and approximately forty beneficiary attendants (orderlies).
